Filing a DMCA Takedown Request
Required Information
To file a DMCA takedown request, you must provide the following information:
- Your full name and contact information
- Description of the copyrighted work being infringed
- URL or location of the infringing content on our platform
- Statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
- Statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature

Our Response
Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown request, we will:
- Review the request for completeness and validity
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
- Notify the content creator of the takedown
- Provide the creator with information about filing a counter-notification
Filing a Counter-Notification
When to File
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification. This should only be done if you have a good faith belief that the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Required Information
Your counter-notification must include:
- Your full name and contact information
- Identification of the removed content and its location
- Statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake
- Consent to local federal court jurisdiction
- Your physical or electronic signature
Counter-Notification Process
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification:
- We will forward it to the original complainant
- The complainant has 10-14 business days to file a lawsuit
- If no lawsuit is filed, we may restore the content
- If a lawsuit is filed, the content remains removed pending court resolution
Repeat Infringers
BareVault maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We consider various factors when determining repeat infringement, including:
- Number of valid DMCA takedown requests
- Nature and severity of the infringements
- User's response to takedown notices
- Whether the user has filed valid counter-notifications
